About the MPPSA

The Master of Public Policy Student Association (MPPSA) is the democratically elected body representing Master of Public Policy students at the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy. The MPPSA is committed to building community through social and co-curricular programming, providing program support to the student body, and advocating for student interests. The MPPSA organizes academic, professional, and social events, such as the Compass Mentorship Program, networking opportunities, town halls, and community events. The MPPSA advocates on behalf of MPP students in conversations with the School and the University, ensuring the student voice is always heard.

Our Executive Team

The MPPSA is led by an elected Executive who represent the interests of students and organize initiatives throughout the year. Positions include:

  • President – provides leadership and strategic direction.

  • Program Advisors (Year 1 & Year 2) – serve as liaisons between students and the program team on academic matters.

  • Finance Director – manages the MPPSA’s budget and funding.

  • Academic Functions Director & Coordinator – oversee mentorship and professional development programming.

  • Events Director & Coordinator – plan social and community-building activities.

  • Communications Coordinator – manages outreach, updates, and meeting records.

  • Graduate Students’ Union (GSU) Representative – represents MPP students at the U of T Graduate Students’ Union.

Together, the Executive works to strengthen student life, support academic success, and build an inclusive, engaged community.
